No hace mucho tiempo tomé la costumbre de tomar té, en gran parte porque mi consumo de café se estaba volviendo aterrador y me tenía extremadamente ansiosa. Para mi el té siempre había sido tomar manzanilla cuando me sentía mal o usar los vapores para abrir mis poros y hacerme faciales, pero gracias a la alineación de los planetas probé uno de los sabores de la nueva línea de té verde de La Pastora, el de Arándano & Moras. Fue amor a primer sorbo. Tristemente esa bolsita de té venía junto con otras 3 de diferentes sabores en un paquete de manzanilla, pero desde que lo probé me dediqué a buscarlo y finalmente lo encontré. Sintiéndome valiente comencé a comprar de diferentes sabores y diferentes marcas hasta que mi adicción por el té se ha vuelto casi tan fuerte como la que tengo por el café.
Not long ago I took the habit of drinking tea, mostly because my coffee consumption was getting scary and I was extremely anxious. For me tea always meant chamomile in case I was feeling sick or using its vapors to open my pores and get a facial, but thanks to the alignment of the planets I tried one of the flavors of the new line of green tea by La Pastora, Cranberries & Mulberries. It was love at first sip. Sadly the tea bag came, along with 3 other different flavors, on a chamomile package, but since I tried it I began to look for it and finally found it. Feeling brave, I started buying different flavors and different brands until my addiction for tea has become almost as strong as the one I have for coffee.

Durante las tardes de verano puedes servirte un vaso lleno de hielos y verter el té para disfrutarlo helado, o ahora que es otoño y se acerca el invierno, una taza de té caliente con un buen libro o una película suena perfecto. El té puede cambiar totalmente tu tarde por muy ridículo que se escuché. Además, piensa que cada taza que tomas es un arruga que se tardará más en llegar. Así que toma té como las damas lo hacen.
During summer evenings you can fill a glass with ice and then pour the tea to enjoy it cold, or now that it's autumn and winter approaches, a cup of hot tea with a good book or a movie sounds perfect. La desintoxicación a través de baños es un remedio antiguo que cualquier persona puede realizar en su casa. En la desintoxicación, tu piel se conoce como el tercer riñón, y las toxinas se eliminan a través del sudor. Un baño de desintoxicación ayuda a tu cuerpo a eliminar toxinas, así como a absorber los minerales y nutrientes que se encuentran en el agua. Por encima de todo hará que te sientas fresca y despierta.
Detoxification of your body through bathing is an ancient remedy that anyone can perform in the comfort of their own home. In detoxification circles, your skin is known as the third kidney, and toxins are excreted through sweating. A detox bath is thought to assist your body in eliminating toxins as well as absorbing the minerals and nutrients that are in the water. Most of all, it'll leave you feeling refreshed and awakened.

Antes que nada asegúrate de que lo hagas en un día que tengas tiempo, mínimo 40 minutos ya que se supone que durante los primeros 20 minutos tu cuerpo se libera de las toxinas y los siguientes 20 absorbe los minerales del agua. Llena tu bañera con agua caliente, agrega una taza de sal amarga (también conocida como sulfato de magnesio) esto ayuda a la hipertensión y ayuda a a nivelar los niveles de magnesio del cuerpo, libera las toxinas y ayuda a crear proteínas. Agrega una taza de bicarbonato de sodio que ayuda a dejar la piel suave y a limpiarla profundamente. Agrega una cucharada o dos jengibre molido o dos o 3 bolsitas de té de jengibre, esto ayuda a calentar tu piel y que así sudes más y liberes más toxinas. Si gustas puedes agregar aceites aromáticos para relajarte aún más. Mezcla los ingredientes en la bañera con tu mano y después sumérgete. Si empiezas a sentir que tu piel se calienta demasiado puedes agregar agua fría para refrescarte. Después de los 40 minutos sal de la tina con cuidado ya que tu cuerpo ha trabajado durante todo este tiempo y puedes sentirte cansada, mareada o débil, además de que la tina estará resbalosa.  TOMA MUCHA AGUA, ya que tu cuerpo acaba de desintoxicarse y si no lo haces puedes sentirte mal.
First of all make sure you do it in a day you have time, at least 40 minutes since it is assumed that during the first 20 minutes your body gets rid of toxins and the next 20 absorbs minerals from the water. Fill your bathtub with hot water, add a cup of epsom salts (a.k.a magnesium sulfate) this helps combating hypertension and helps replenish the body’s magnesium levels, releases toxins and helps form proteins. Add a cup of baking soda, it's known for its cleansing ability and it leaves skin soft. Add a tablespoon or two of ground ginger or two or three bags of ginger tea, it helps to warm your skin and sweat and it can increase your heat levels, helping to sweat out toxins. If you like you can add aromatic oils to relax even more. Mix the ingredients in the tub with your hand and then soak. If you start feeling too hot you can ass some cold water to cool off. After 40 minutes get out of the tub slowly and carefully, your body has been working hard and you may get lightheaded or feel weak and drained. On top of that, the salts make your tub slippery, so stand with care. DRINK LOTS OF WATER, any time your body detoxes you need to flush out toxins. If you don't, you will likely feel sick afterwards.

2 puñados de espinaquitas
1 manzana
1 plátano
1 taza de yogur
5 fresas 
1/2 naranja

To continue with detoxification, we bring you a liquefied natural smoothie that will detox your digestive system. You will need:
2 two handfuls of baby spinach

Generally the more expensive brands have better pigmentation on their formulas and are easy to use and blend. They feel softer and last longer because of the quantity of pigments they have. It's foog to try different brands to see what you like better and if you are starting to use eyeshadows it's good to try with palettes because they have a varitety of colors at a better price, that you can mix and match.

Este producto es el principal que deberías de ahorrar por dos razones. La primera es que casi todos los rímeles tienen la misma fórmula y lo que cambia es el empaque y la brocha. La segunda razón es que es el producto que debes de cambiar entre 3-5 meses porque se seca muy rápido  y es peligroso usar un rímel viejo ya que es fácil que produzca una infección en los ojos. Los maquilladores profesionales generalmente eligen este tipo de productos que tienen la misma calidad que uno más caro y estos rímeles son de culto desde hace más de cuarenta años.

This product is the main one you should save for two reasons. The first one is that almost every mascara has the same formula and what changes is the package and the brush. The second one is that you should change mascaras every 3-5 months because it dries very fast and it's dangerous to use an old mascara because it can cause eye infections. The professional make up artists generally prefer this products because they have the same quality as an expensive one and some of the above are bestsellers over 40 years.

 

No hay cosa que más me enoje que un barniz malo y que se caiga a las horas que se aplicó. Curiosamente pensé que uno más caro iba a ser mejor pero cual fue mi sorpresa que uno caro es igual o peor que uno más barato. Estas marcar la mayoría se especializa en barnices y por eso recomiendo escoger estas ya que son mejores y tienen una variedad muy extensa de colores. Sé que O.P.I. y Essie no son los más baratos pero valen muchísimo el precio por la calida, es la que la mayoría de los manicuristas prefieren, duran mucho (hasta dos semanas), son muy cubriente y tienen todos los colores que te imagines. 

There isn't a thing that makes me more angry than a bad nail polish that chips a few hours after you apply it. Curiosely I thought a pricier one would be better but at my surprise it turned out to be as bad as a cheaper one. This brands mainly especiallize in nail products and that's why I recommend to choose these because they are better and have an enormous variety of colors. I know that O.P.I. and Essie are not the cheapest ones but they are worth every penny, the majority of manicurists prefere them, they last a lot of time (even two weeks), have an amazing coverage and have any color you can imagine.

A finales de Junio se reveló que Banana Republic sacaría una colección inspirada en la nueva película del director Joe Wright y protagonizada por la bella Keira Kinightley: Anna Karenina, la épica novela de Leo Tolstoy y uno de mis libros favoritos. En la antigua Rusia Anna Karenina es hermosa y sufre sinceramente por los que hace sufrir, tiene una capacidad de destrucción, incluyendo la propia, que al final no tiene límites. Hermana de un hombre infiel y encantador, esposa de un hombre que no ama, enamorada de un hombre menor que ella y que antes de conocerla pretendía a otra chica, reina de la alta sociedad rusa y, para agregar un poco más de drama, incapaz de buscar su felicidad por la devoción que tiene hacia su hijo. 

La colección que consta de 56 piezas,  fue también diseñada por la dos veces ganadora al Oscar Jacqueline Durran y saldrá a la venta en Octubre (un mes antes del estreno de la película). Consta de accesorios de piel, vestidos femeninos, abrigos con inspiración militar y trajes de lana antiguos. A pesar de que la novela y la película están basadas en una Rusia de 1870, Banana Republic decidió darle un toqué más moderno a la 1950. Los precios de la colección van desde los 30 dolares hasta los 325. 

Siguiendo con la que promete ser una de mis películas favoritas, Keira Knightley es la portada de VOGUE para Octubre luciendo hermosa y con algunos vestidos que podrían aparecer en la película. Fotografiada por Mario Testino y entrevistada por Amanda Foreman, Keira revela que amó el reto de interpretar a Ana Karenina: "Cuando releí el libro el verano pasado, pensé, 'Oh! No es para nada un romance. No creo que Tolstoy esté diciendo que ésto es lo que deberías hacer por amor; muchas veces está diciendo lo contrario. Él odia a Anna en ciertos momentos. Ella es la villana y la heroína. Puede ser increíblemente vanidosa y manipulativa. In old Russia, Anna Karenina is beautiful and sincerly suffers for the ones she hurt, she has a capacity for destruction, including her own, that ultimately has no limits. Sister of an unfaithful and charming man, wife of a man she does not love, in love with a younger man who before knowing her was courting another girl, reigning queen of society and, to add a little more drama, unable to pursue her happiness because she loves and devotes herself to her son.

The collection consists of 56 pieces, was co-designed by two-time Oscar winner Jacqueline Durran and will be released in October (a month before the film's release). It consists of  fur accessories, elegant baubles, feminine dresses, and military-inspired outerwear for the ladies, and old-school topcoats and suits in wool. Although the novel and the film are based on a 1870 Russia, Banana Republic decided to go with a 1950s feel. Prices for the collection range from $30 to $325.

Continuing with what promises to be one of my favorite movies, Keira Knightley is  on the cover of VOGUE for October, looking beautiful and wearing some dresses that could might as well appear on the film. Photographed by Mario Testino and interviewed by Amanda Foreman, Keira revealed she loved the challenge of playing Anna Karenina: “When I reread the book last summer, I went, ‘Oh!’ It’s not a romance at all. I don’t think that Tolstoy is saying this is what you should do for love; quite a lot of the time he is saying the reverse. He hates Anna at certain moments. She is both a villain and a heroine. She can be incredibly vain and manipulative. She is somebody who breaks her own moral code, and yet the shame and disgust she lives with because of that make her fascinating.”

Ya sea en la portada de Vogue o en una de sus (casi películas) videos musicales, me encanta Lana Del Rey. Desde su maquillaje con pestañas perfectas, pasando por el aire de dramatismo que la rodea y hasta su honestidad, porque ella misma ha dicho: "subir a un escenario no es mi elemento". Pero si alguien se fija en sus videos acústicos, puede darse cuenta de que tiene una buena voz. Dejando ese talento a un lado, hablemos un poco de su estílo y sus planes a futuro.
Whether on the cover of Vogue or in one of her (almost movies) music videos, I love Lana Del Rey. From her makeup with perfect eyelashes, through the dramatic air that surrounds her, to her honesty, because she herself has said it: "when I get on stage that's not my element." But if you have seen one of her acoustic videos, you realize that she actually has a good voice. Leaving that talent aside, let's talk about her style and her future plans.

Right now she's on the cover of Vogue Australia where she appears with a more natural look than what we're used to, and as expected, I love it. She appears with an innocent look, darker hair and braided up reming me of a modern Frida Kahlo and showing the tattoos on her hands: "Paradise" and "Trust no one."

Lana Del Rey es un icóno de la moda que Gracias a Dieu! (junto con Adele) puso de moda una de mis épocas favoritas, los 60s-70s. Con sus pestañas postizas, delineado y cabello perfecto hace que todos los días quiera peinarme y pintarme como ella, pero entonces recuerdo que yo no soy Lana.
Lana Del Rey is a fashion icon Thank Dieu! (along with Adele) made one of my favorite periods fashionable again, the 60s-70s. With her false eyelashes, perfect eyeliner and perfect hair she makes me want to imitate her hair and makeup everyday, but then I remember that I am not Lana.

 También apareció en la portada de GQ donde la nombran mujer del año y le hacen una de las entrevistas que más me han gustado.
She also appeared on the cover of GQ where she was named woman of the year, the article was great too, it was one of my favorite interviews.

Como ya todos deben de saber, Lana hizo una colaboración con H&M para la campaña de otoño y saldrá a la venta el 20 de Septiembre, pero para alimentar un poco más nuestras ansias ha salido un video "Detrás de cámaras" y el anuncio donde aparece cantando un fragmento de la canción Blue velvet.

As everyone already knows, Lana did a collaboration with H&M for the fall campaign and it will be released on September 20, but to feed a little more our anticipation two videos have already come out, one is a "Behind the scenes" of the recording of the Ad, and the ad itself where she appears singing a snippet of the song Blue Velvet.

  Se dice que recientemente estuvo en Las Vegas grabando el video del sencillo "Ride" de su nuevo disco Born To Die: Paradise Edition que supuestamente saldrá a la venta en Noviembre. 
It is said that she was recently in Las Vegas recording the video for her single "Ride" from her new album Born To Die: Paradise Edition, which its supposed to hit stands in November.

Anunció en Vogue Australia que ya no tiene nada que decir en la música y que lo que ahora desea es escribir para películas, lo cual es bastante predescible si es que has visto sus videos musicales, como National Anthem (mi favorito). Sea lo que sea, estoy segura de que a Lana Del Rey le espera un futuro brillante, aunque admito que la extrañaría en la música.
She announced in Vogue Australia that she has nothing left to say on the music business and that what she now wants to do it write a film, which is pretty predictable if you've seen her music videos, like National Anthem (my favorite). Whatever it is, I'm sure there's a bright future awaiting for Lana Del Rey, though I admit that I would miss her in music.

En nuestro primer post hicimos de sombras de los ojos que favorecen a todo el mundo.

Ahora, seguiremos con los labios. Algunos colores son difíciles de usar pero eston tonos le quedan bien a cualquier tipo de piel.

Lipsticks

Coral

El color coral mezcla naranja (un color cálido) y rosa (uno frío) así que se vuelve un color neutral.

Rojo

Todas pueden usar un rojo llamativo. Esto crea un look dramático en complexiones claras y un look más neutro en complexiones morenas.

Nude (piel)

El tono más favorecedor es el que mezcla durazno con un poco de amarillo, lo que deja que el color natural de los labios se pueda ver.

Café

Busca un color que combine café y rosa. Este tono se ve natural tanto en pieles claras como oscuras.

Mora (rosa morado)

Si es traslúcido como el que se muestra en la imagen, le queda bien a todo el mundo. Entre más clara la piel, menos color necesitas.

Rosa

Un color como el siguiente que es suficientemente transparente para dejar ver el tono de labios le queda bien a todo el mundo.

Lipsticks

Coral

Coral blends orange (a warm color) and pink (a cooler color) together, so it acts as a neutral.

Red

Every woman can wear true flashy red. This creates a dramatic look on light complexions and a softer effect on brown ones.

Nude

The most flattering shade is peach with some yellow in it, which lets your natural lip color show through.

Brown
Look for a color that combines brown and pink. It looks natural on dark and light complexions.

Berry
If it's got a sheer texture like this one, it works on everyone. The lighter your skin, the less you need.

Pink
A pink like this one is transparent enough to pump up every natural lip color.
