Este pequeño bálsamo de labios esta por todos lados y por fin vi porque era todo el alboroto. Esta en un empaque circular, del tamaño de una pelota de golf, y adentro viene el famoso bálsamo. Primero una amiga me trajo uno de Estados Unidos, pero cuando vi que los vendían en México, tuve que probar otro sabor. El color rosa se llama Strawberry Sorbet y tiene olor a fresa y vainilla, el amarillo es Lemon Drop y tiene olor a limón y tiene protección solar. Me he vuelto fan de ellos, son súper hidratantes, se absorben rápido y lo que más me gusta es que son naturales y cruelty free.

¿Dónde los venden en México?

Hay muchos distribuidores, pero en México yo lo compré en Walmart. Sí, tan sencillo como ir al súper y comprar uno.

¿Valen la pena?

Para mí si, no son caros (cuestan 50 pesos) y son una opción buena si estás buscando un nuevo bálsamo de labios.

This round little lipbalm is everywhere and finally I found out what all the fuss was about. It’s in a circular package, approximately has the size of a golf ball, and inside it houses the famous lipbalm. First I tried it when a friend of mine brought me one from the US, but when I saw they started selling them in Mexico, I had to try another flavor. The pink one is Strawberry sorbet and it has a delicious strawberry vainilla smell and the yellow one is called Lemon Drop , it’s lemon flavored and has SPF. I’ve become a fan, they’re hydrating, are absorbed super quickly and the thing I like the most is that they are natural and cruelty free.

Where are they sold?

In the US they are sold in the drugstores, in the UK in Selfridges and in Mexico I found them in Walmart.

Are they worth it?

For me they are, they’re not expensive and are a good option if you are looking for a new lipbalm.

El otro día que pasé a la farmacia dermatológica para reponer un jabón de cara que ya casi se acaba y en eso, pasé por el mostrador de productos Vichy. Como buena #beautyjunkie, tuve que pasar y ver todos los productos y me alegra haberlo hecho porque descubrí un nuevo favorito. Mi polvo actual de MAC casi se esta acaba y aunque no estaba exactamente buscando uno nuevo, vi este polvo de la marca Vichy.

Como lo he mencionado en veces anteriores mi piel es mixta y con un poco de tendencia a acné pero no me gusta la cobertura alta porque siento que me queda como máscara. Lo que me llamó la atención de este polvo es que tiene una buena cobertura pero esta diseñado para ser luminoso, controlar el brillo sin ser de acabado mate y tiene protector solar. Me gustó mucho y creo que es perfecto para los meses que vienen donde la piel tiende a tener más brotes. El precio se me hizo bastante razonable y viene con un práctico espejo para retocarlo en el camino. Se puede usar solo o sobre corrector, BB cream o si quieres un acabado perfecto, sobre una base normal de maquillaje. El único contra de este producto es la gama de tonos, afortunadamente yo encontré mi tono (el número 3) pero viene bastante reducida la gama de tonos. Si tienes suerte y encuentras tu tono, sin duda es una opción muy recomendable para usar diario sin preocuparte por agravar tu piel.

Sin duda, estaré probando pronto otros productos cosméticos de esta marca.

The other day I went to the drugstore because I was running out of my face soap and as I was browsing I saw the Vichy counter. As a good #beautyjunkie, I had to check every product and I’m very glad I did because I discovered a new favorite. My current MAC face powder is almost gone and even though I wasn’t looking for a new one, I saw this Vichy face powder.

As I’ve mentioned previous times, I have combination and acne prone skin but I hate heavy coverage because I feel like I’m wearing a mask. The thing that drew my attention to this product was that it has a good coverage but it’s still luminous, it controls shine without being matte and has sun protection. I like it a lot and I think it’ll be perfect for the coming mother where the skin tends to be more problematic. I found the price reasonable and it comes with a practical mirror for retouching on the road. You can use it on its own, over concealer, BB cream or if you want a full coverage, over your normal foundation. The only con about this product is the shade range, fortunately I found my shade (number 3) but the shade range it’s pretty small. If you are lucky and find your tone, it’s without a doubt a very good product for an everyday makeup without worrying about your skin. 

Without a doubt, soon I'll be testing other cosmetic products from this brand.

Se acerca el verano y con el la oportunidad de poder experimentar con nuestro cabello agregándole colores divertidos. 

Summer is approaching and with it the chance to experiment with our hair and add some cool colors to it.

Me he pintado pequeñas o discretas partes del cabello de colores en diferentes ocasiones, pero estoy cerca de graduarme y siento que en un trabajo del mundo real no me va a ser posible continuar con esto. Es por eso que este año pienso hacerlo de forma mas dramática e invasiva. Estoy muy emocionada. La inspiración es un estilo ombré rosa. Hecho por mi. Siendo honesta todo lo que tiene que ver con mi cabello, (pasando por tintes, cortes, mechas california, decoloración, etc.) lo hago yo, soy demasiado cuidadosa con mi cabello y si llegara a pasarle algo -toco madera- no quisiera sentir la necesidad de matar a la señorita del salón de belleza, prefiero cargar yo misma con las consecuencias. Y siendo honesta, hasta ahora todo lo que me he hecho me ha quedado bien. Así que he comenzado con la preparación de mi cabello, hace algunos meses use el  spray Easy Lights de Marc Anthony (próximamente haremos un review) para crear un estilo de sun kissed hair muy natural, actualmente estoy usando un shampoo violeta para transformar algunos destellos naranjas que quedaron a dorados. El siguiente paso dependera del resultado final del shampoo, ya sea decolorar un poco el cabello o solo poner un tinte rubio en 9 u 8 (tal vez .1). A partir de ahí solo quedara agregar el tono rosa, hasta ahora estoy indecisa entre Ion Collor Brilliance Brights en Magenta  o Manic Panic en Cotton Candy Pink (posiblemente al final termine mezclandolos). 
En fin, proximamente les traere el tutorial para que puedan hacerlo ustedes mismas.

I've dyed my hair several tiemes, always keeping it discreet and in different colors since I was 17, but I am about to graduate from college and I feel like in a real world job I wont be able to wear colorful hair. That's why this year I'm gonna dye it in the most dramatic and invasive way I've done it so far. I'm very excited. The inspiration is a kind of ombré. Done it by me. If I'm totally honest, any thing involving my hair (from dye, haircuts, california ombre, bleach, etc.) is done by me. I'm too protective of my hair and if something happened to it -god forbid- I don't want to feel the need to hurt and/or kill the lady at the beuty salon, I'd rather carry with the consequences myself. And since I'm being honest, everything I've done to my hair so far has turned out pretty good. So I've started getting my hair ready, a couple months ago I used the Easy Lights spray by Marc Anthony (soon there will be a review) to get a natural sun kissed hair look, right now I'm using a purple shampoo to get rid of orange highlights and turn them into more gold-ish look-like. Next step will depend on how much the purple shampoo did, I can either bleach it a little or just go for a 8 or 9 hair dye. From there only the pink will be missing, I'm deciding between Ion Collor Brilliance Brights Magenta or Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink ( maybe I'll mix them?)
Anyway, soon I will bring you that tutorial so you can do it too.

En este post te enseño mis productos favoritos para la primavera, hay una mezcla de todo un poco: lipsticks, barnices, blushes, productos para el pelo y el cuerpo.

In this post I'll show you my favorite spring products, there is a bit of everything: lipsticks, nail polishes, blushes and products for hair and body.

CUERPO // BODY

Este icónico hidratante de the body shop es perfecto porque todavía la piel sigue un poco reseca del invierno y el mal clima. Es muy hidratante y me encanta el olor, también puedes encontrar toda la gama de fresa desde el hidratante hasta el bálsamo, exfoliante, jabón y perfume.

This iconic moisturizer is perfect because the skin is still a little dry from the bad weather. It's very moisturizing and the smell is awesome, you can also find all the strawberry range, from the moisturizer, to the lipbalm, exfoliator, soap and perfume. 

PELO // HAIR 

Organix moroccan argan oil:

Este milagroso producto lo descubrí en el pasillo de productos de viaje y es una presentación pequeña del aceite de argan de la marca Organix. Solo necesitas unas cuantas gotas y lo aplicas en tu cabello después de bañarte o antes de usar la plancha, secadora o tenazas. Me encanta porque da un poco de brillo, hidrata y protege tu cabello. Si aprovechas este buen clima para traerlo al natural, solo necesitas aplicarlo después de bañarte y lo dejas secar naturalmente.

I discovered this miraculous product in the travel section and it's a portable and little presentacion from the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil. You only need a few drops and you apply it to your hair after the shower or before you heat style it. I love it because it gives shine to the hair, protects and hidrates it. I you use this weather to naturally style your hair, you just need to apply it after you wash it and let it naturally dry.

Este barniz es definitivamente uno de mis colores favoritos de todos los tiempos. Es un turquesa pastel perfecto para usar en manos y pies diariamente. No tiende a ser muy brillante ni muy verde, para mí es el balance perfecto de color sin ser muy llamativo.

This nailpolish is definitely one of my all time favorite shades. It's a pastel turquoise pefect for your daily shade on hands and feet. It's not too bright or too green, for me it's the perfect balance without being too flashy. 

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure en I Lilac you

Otro tono que es de mis favoritos es el tono I Lilac you. Literalmente es un lila pastel que es opaco, hace que la piel se vea más bronceada y le da un toque diferente a tus uñas.

Another favorite shade of mine is I Lilac you. It's literally a pastel lilac, opaque and it makes your skin to look tanner and it's a fun change of color. 

LABIOS // LIPS

EOS lipbalm en Strawberry sorbet

Este hidratante de labios que esta de moda en todos lados definitivamente cumple las expectativas. El empaque es muy bonito, es muy hidratante, es natural y el olor me encanta.

This trendy lipbalm that's everywhere definitely lives up to the expectations. The package is super cute, very hydrating, natural and I love the smell. 

Revlon lip butter en Peach Parfait

Este híbrido de lipstick e hidratante es perfecto para usar diario en la escuela o el trabajo ya que tiene un poco de color, combina con casi cualquier color de maquillaje de ojos, es hidratante y lo puedes reaplicar incluso sin tener que tener un espejo a la mano.

This balm and lipstick hybrid is perfect for an everyday use in school or work because it's really sheer, goes with almost any eye makeup color, it's hydrating and you can apply it even without a mirror. 

Covergirl Jumbo Lipgloss Balm en Apricot Twist

Este es uno de mis productos de labios favorito desde hace algunos meses. Es un híbrido entre gloss y lipstick pero en forma de lápiz. Es súper práctico y lo puedes usar solo o sobre delineador si te gusta un look más definido en los labios.

This is one of my favorite product since a few months. It's a hybrid between a gloss and a lipstick but in a twist up pencil form. It's super practical and you can use it by itself of over a lipliner if you prefer a more defined look. 

Benefit Posietint

Este producto no sabía si colocarlo dentro de labios o mejillas pero ya que la versión de bolsillo trae un gloss incluido, lo decidí poner en esta categoría. Esta famosa tinta de Benefit, tiene un color rosado brillante que lo puedes aplicar tanto en los labios o mejillas.  Me encantó la presentación de bolsillo ya que es súper práctica y lo puedes reaplicar durante el día.

This product I didn't knew if I should put it in the lip or cheek section, but because the pocket version has a gloss, I decided to put it in this category. This famous Benefit tint,  has a bright pink color and you can apply it both on your lips and your cheeks. I loved the pocket version because it's super practical and you can reapply it during the day. 

MEJILLAS // CHEEKS

Clinique Cheek Pop en Berry Pop

Este blush lo incluí también dentro del post de mis favoritos del 2014, y sigo sin dejar de usarlo pero creo que es perfecto para la primavera. La textura es de las mejores que he probado, es muy pigmentada y parece crema pero es un polvo. En mi tono de piel realza mucho el color y no se ve chillón. El truco es aplicarlo poco a poco hasta llegar al tono deseado.

I included this blush in my 2014 favorites post and I still haven't had stop using it but I believe it's perfect for spring. The texture is one of the best I've tried, it's really pigmented and looks like a cream but is a powder form. It enhances my skincolor and doesn't look flashy. The trick is to apply it in thin layers until you've reached the desired color.

Nars blush en Orgasm

Si eres una #beautyjunkie como nosotras, definitivamente has oído de este producto. Todas las revistas, blogs y maquilladores dicen que es el blush que todo mundo debería tener, tal vez creo que es un poco exagerado, pero si tu tono de piel es medio creo que te quedará perfecto. Es la combinación de rosa, rojo, naranja y brillos sutiles dorados. Si usas este, no necesitarás iluminador porque deja un brillo muy lindo en las mejillas.

If you are a #beautyjunkie like us, you've heard about this product. Every magazine, blog and makeup artist say it's the perfect blush. I believe this is a bit of an exageration, but if you have a medium skin tone it will suit you perfectly. Is a combination between pink, red, orange and subtil golden shimmer. If you use it, you won't  need an illuminator because it gives a lovely shine to your cheeks.

Nyx Matte Finish Makeup setting spray

Si tu piel tiende a ser brillosa durante el día, al usar este spray matificante te ayuda a controlar esto. Luego de que termines de maquillarte, lo aplicas y te ayuda a que dure más tiempo y a que no salgan brillos, en especial en la zona T.

If your skin is oily during the day, using this matifying spray helps to control it. After you've finish your makeup, you apply it and helps to last longer and control the T zone oils. 

Smashbox BB Cream

Debo decir que me gustan mucho las BB creams, en especial de diario, pero un problema para mí es que la mayoría tienden a ser más para pieles deshidratadas y esto causa que me salgan brillos. Esta es mi BB cream favorita ya que tiene un factor de protección solar de 35 SPF, cubre bastante bien y controla el brillo de la cara.

I have to say that I like BB creams, especially for a daily use, but a problem for me is that most of them are for dehydrated skins and this causes that I get oily during the day. This is my favorite BB cream because it has a 35 SPF protection, it has a good coverage and controls the oil in my face. I love it because I can apply it even without powdering my skin and looks good most of the day.
