Una de mis metas superficiales para el verano es tener el cabello larguísimo y sano. Sobre todo sano, eso de andarme encontrando puntas abiertas me molesta. Llevo entre 20 y 24 meses probando diferentes cosas en mi cabello para ver qué tal funcionan, así que hoy les traemos los 15 mejores tips para el cuidado del cabello que he recolectado en estos casi dos años.
One of my superficial goals for the summer is to have really long and healthy hair. Specially healthy, going through life finding split ends bothers me. I have around 20 or 24 months trying different things in my hair to see how they work, so today we bring you the 15 best tips for hair care that we have gathered in almost 2 years.

1. Usa un protector de calor SIEMPRE. No importa que sólo vayas a medio secarlo con la secadora o a plancharlo como modelo de pasarela, necesitas un protector de calor. El que yo uso es Turn Up The Heat de Beyond The Zone. Puedes ver su review Aquí// ALWAYS use a heat protector. It doesn't matter if you're just gonna blow it a little with the hair-dryer or go super glam-runway model with the hair straightener, you need a heat protector. 2. Si puedes no usar planchas, secadoras, o pinzas no lo hagas. Sobre todo si ya lo tienes maltratado, es mejor que dejes que tu cabello recupere sus fuerzas. // If you can don't use irons , hairdryers, or curlers. Especially if you already have damaged hair, you better let your hair regain its strength.
3. Despúntalo al menos una vez al mes, si quieres que crezca sano y rápido necesitas quitar lo dañado. Cuando tengo tiempo libre incluso me pongo a cortar pelo por pelo los que están maltratados. // Cut a little of the ends of your hair at least once a month, if you want it to grow healthy and fast you need to get rid of the damaged parts. When I have some free time I sometimes cut one damaged hair at a time
4. Aplica una mascarilla de nutrición al menos una vez al mes. Hay desde las más sencillas (sólo aceite de coco de medios a puntas) hasta las más complicadas con más de 5 ingredientes. Yo suelo aplicar la de aceite de coco y la dejo actuar por tantas horas como me es posible. // Apply a nutrition mask at least once a month . There are from the most simple ones ( coconut oil from half to ends ) to more complicated ones that include more than 5 ingredients. I usually apply coconut oil and let it act for as many hours as I can.
5. Usa productos que ayuden a que el cabello esté sano. Mis favoritos son el aceite de coco de Organix y la crema o aceite nutritivo de L'oréal. // Use products that help you hair to get healthier. Right now my favorites are the coconut oil from Organix and the Extraordinary oil in cream or oil by L'oréal.
6. Agrega pastillas de complejo B a tu shampoo, eso a mi me ha funcionado de maravilla - no sólo ayuda a que crezca sino a evitar que se caiga y a volverlo ligeramente más grueso y fuerte. También es bueno para las uñas.  Puedes ver más sobre eso Aquí y Aquí // Add some B Complex pills to your shampoo, that has done wonders for me - not only does it help your hair to grow but it also help it to stop falling, and it makes it stronger and a little more thick. 7. No lo laves diario, honestamente es lo peor que puedes hacer. Si es posible sólo lávalo 3 o 4 veces a la semana. // Don't wash it every day, it's honestly the worst you can do. If it's possible just wash it 3 or 4 times per week.
8. Masajea tu cabeza. Además de que te ayudará a relajarte, estimulará el crecimiento. Cepillarlo todos los días funciona igual. // Give your head a massage with your finger tips, this will help you realx and stimulate growth. Brush it daily works too.
9. Si vas a decolorarlo te recomiendo el decolorante a base de trigo de L'oréal llamado Platine Precision, yo lo usé cuando me pinte el cabello rosa y casi no me maltrato el cabello. Puedes ver esa info Aquí // If you're going to bleach it I recommend you to use the Platine Precision by L'oréal that's wheat-based, I used it when I dyed my hair pink and it barely damaged my hair. 10. El agua de arroz ayuda a nutrirlo y darle brillo. // Rice water helps nourish and brightens. 
11. Come bien, para que tu cabello crezca y este sano tú necesitas estar sana - así que toma mucha agua y come tantos productos naturales como te sea posible. // Eat well, to make your hair healthy and make it grow you need to be healthy - so drink lots of water and eat as many natural products as you can.
12. Usa un cepillo que no maltrate tu cabello ni lo jale demasiado. Mis favoritos son los anchos de conair. Éste es realmente mu cepillo. // Use a brush that doesn't damages your hair and doesn't pull it too much. My favorites are the wide ones from conair. This is my brush for real. 
13. Antes de salir de la regadera enjuaga tu cabello con agua lo más fría que soportes, esto hará que se sellen  las cutículas para que tu cabello se vea más brilloso y sedoso. // Before getting out of the shower rinse your hair with cold water, as cold as you can. This will seal cuticles so your hair looks shinier and silky.
14. Aplica primero el acondicionador y después el shampoo, esto hará que el cabello obtenga primero mayor hidratación  lo que es equivalente a cabello más sano, brilloso y ayudará a que crezca más rápido. // Apply the conditioner before the shampoo, this way your hair will get more hydration first which is equivalent to healthier, shinier and fast growing hair.
15. Pon aceite en los nudos, puede ser de jojoba, de coco o incluso de oliva. Empápalos totalmente y espera entre 10 y 20 minutos, después intenta desenrredarlos con las manos, será mucho más sencillo y menos dañino que con el cepillo. // Apply oils on your hair knots, it can be jojoba, coconut, oil or any other. cover the knot completely and wait from 10 to 20 minutes then try to disentangle them with your hands, it will be easier and less harmful than with the brush.

Para darle ese look de playa escogimos un spray de sal de la marca Organix que lo aplicas después de lavarte el pelo y lo puedes dejar secar al natural o con secadora y da la textura como si acabaras de salir del mar. Para el cuerpo encontramos este aceite seco con un brillo bronceado de la marca Body Shop y ¡nos encantó!. Lo aplicas como si fuera una crema en todo el cuerpo y te da una apariencia glow sin llegar a verse como brillantina y acentúa si te bronceaste un poco.

To get that beachy look we chose a sea salt spray from the brand Organix that you can apply it after washing your hair, and let it air dry or with a blowdryer and gives you the texture as ir you just came out of the ocean. For the body we found this dry oil with golden shimmer from the brand The Body Shop and we loved it! You apply it as if it was a body lotion and it gives you a glowing appearance without being glittery and also brings out your tan.

En dirección de las manecillas del reloj // Clockwise: Sugar lip treatment fresh spf 15 , CC cream Origins, Primer Porefessional Benefit, They´re Real mascara Benefit, Cha Cha Tint Benefit, Sephora Smart Liner, Mac Paint Pot Bare Study.

En esta selección de productos elegimos los que son un poco más costosos y los puedes encontrar en tiendas departamentales o especializadas como Sephora.

 El bálsamo de Fresh es perfecto para esta temporada ya que lo puedes usar diario para hidratar tus labios o sobre algún color y tiene protección solar del 15 para que no se resequen ni estén expuestos al sol.

En medio de esta locura de BB y CC creams en el mercado probamos esta crema hidratante con color de Origins llamada CC cream que empareja el color de la piel, no es pesada, no se siente grasosa y tiene protección solar del número 20. 

Si tienes problemas si tu base no dura o sientes que se ven mucho tus poros, te recomendamos el primer Porefessional de Benefit. Este producto maravilloso lo aplicas después de tu hidratante y antes de tu base y hace que tu piel se vea más uniforme y dure mucho más la base. 

La máscara de pestañas es indispensable todo el año pero en estas épocas es horrible cuando se derrite o se cae con la humedad. Probamos la máscara de Benefit They´re real y hace que las pestañas parezcan como falsas. No es exactamente waterproof pero solo se quita usando un desmaquillante bifásico o agua micelar. 

Para mí este es un producto básico en cualquier época del año, es la tinta Cha cha de Benefit. Da un aspecto muy fresco a la cara, se puede usar en labios y mejillas y es a prueba de agua. El color es un naranja-rosado que queda muy bien en esta época de verano. 

Si te gusta el delineador, este modelo en líquido de Sephora es perfecto para todos los días y es facilísimo de usar. No más ojos de mapache o panda chueco tratando de maquillarte. 

Por último te recomendamos que si te gusta usar sombra pruebes una en crema ya que dura muchísimo, es resistente al agua y si tienes la piel mixta o grasa no desaparece fácilmente. El color Bare Study de MAC es un tono que a todo el mundo le queda increíble y se puede usar solo o aplicar alguna otra sombra en polvo encima y no se moverá en todo el día.

In this selection we chose products that are more expensive and you can find them in department stores or specialized places like Sephora. 

The Fresh Sugar lip balm treatment is perfect for this season because you can use it everyday to hydrate your lips or on top of any color and has an spf of 15 so your lips don´t dry and are protected from the sun.

In the midst of this whole craziness in the market of BB and CC creams we tried one from origins called CC cream. It's a tinted moisturizer with a protection of spf 20, a bit of color and perfect if you like a light foundation and can't stand the cakiness of a full coverage one. 

If you have problems with your foundation dissapearing or feel that your pores are showing too much we recommend you the primer Porefessional from Benefit. This amazing product can be used after you moisturize and before you apply your foundation and makes your skin looking amazing and prolongs the time of wear in your face base. 

Mascara is a must-have year round but in this season is awful when in melts or crumbles with the humidity. We tried the mascara They're real from Benefit and it makes your lashes look like false ones but in a good way. It's not exactly waterproof but it can stand all day and you have to remove it with bi-fasic cleanser or micelar water. 

For me Benefit Cha cha tint is a must have all year round but especially in this hot season. It gives you a very natural and fresh look, you can use it both in cheeks and lips and it's waterproof. The color is a pink-orange ans super flattering if you have a bit of a tan. 

If you like eyeliner we recommend you to try the Smart liner one from Sephora. It's super easy to use and you don't have to battle anymore with panda or raccoon eyes everytime you do your eye makeup. 

At last if you like wearing powder eyeshadow we suggest you to try a cream formula instead, it's easy to use, it's water and sweat resistant and perfect if you have combo-oily skin. The shade Bare Study by Mac is a shade that everyone can use alone or putting powder eyeshadow on top to seal the color. 

Productos bajo costo // Drugstore Products 

En dirección de las manecillas del reloj // Clockwise: Maybelline Baby lips Cherry Me , Revlon Colorburst Matte Lipbalm Unapologetic, Maybelline Colossal Volum Express waterproof, Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream, Maybelline Color Tattoo On and on Bronze, Revlon PhotoReady cream blush Coral Reef, Plumín delineador Bissú a prueba de agua.

Para un toque de color, protección solar e hidratación el Baby lips de maybelline ¡esta perfecto para diario!. Hay muchísimos colores que escoger y es muy económico, una gran opción para los labios.
Si lo que te gusta es colores más vibrantes y pigmentados el Matte Balm Colorburst de Revlon es lo que buscas. Tiene tres fórmulas (mate, glossy y stain) y todas duran mucho y tienen el color perfecto que buscas.
Una máscara de pestañas waterproof es perfecta para esta época y la Colossal Volum de Maybelline es súper recomendable.
Si te interesa probar una BB cream sin gastar mucho la Dream Fresh de Maybelline es muy buena, práctica y es perfecta para usar de diario sin verte demasiado maquillada.
Como decía arriba, las sombras en crema son perfectas para esta época y si quieres probar una de bajo costo y de excelente calidad prueba la Color Tattoo de Maybelline. Hay muchos tonos pero mis favoritos son On and on bronze y Tough as Taupe, perfectos para usar diario.
Un producto único que sacó Revlon es el Photoready Creamblush, es una crema que parece líquida y al aplicarla queda una textura como polvo y se ve muy natural. El tono Coral Reef es un naranja muy veraniego pero si no te gusta hay otros tonos que quedan muy lindos.
Por último encontramos este delineador de la marca Bissú que es muy práctico y perfecto para usar en la noche o el día en un look cat eye.

Cada vez que puedo me gusta recalcar qué tan fan soy de los productos organix. El mousse de coco sólo hace que agregue más razones a mi lista de "por qué soy fan". A pesar de no estar diseñado para que mantenga el cabello fijo por todo el día, el olor me lleva a una playa tropical donde tengo una deliciosa bebida en una mano y un buen libro en la otra. Cuida mi cabello y lo deja suave pero en su lugar, jamás tieso como otros productos, lo mantiene manejable y le da volumen. Aunque no lo recomendaría para personas con cabello muy ondulado o que buscan dominar sus melenas. En ese caso puede que necesiten combinarlo con algo más. Yo por mi parte, estoy enamorada de toda la línea Coconut Milk.

Whenever I can I like to reaffirm how much of an organix products fan I am. The coconut mousse makes me add more reasons to my list of  "why I am a fan." Although it isn't meant for long-lasting hold, the smell takes me to a tropical beach where I have a delicious drink in one hand and a good book in the other. It is natural so it takes good care of my hair and leaves it soft, never stiff as other products. It keep it manageable, lightweight, adds definition and deffrizes, it helps achieve a little bit of volume and it's great for styling. Although I wouldn't recommend it for people with very wavy hair or seeking to dominate their manes. In that case you may need to combine it with something else. I for one, am in love with the entire Coconut Milk line.

Voy a comenzar declarándome fanática oficial de Organix, cada vez que pruebo uno de sus productor me enamoro más de la marca. Ésta vez fue una de mis amigas quien compró la crema y me dejó probarla, después de bañarme con un shampoo normal ya que quería probar qué tan duradero era el olor a cereza de la crema (que por cierto es largo, por la mayor parte del día mi cabello olió a cerezas), me puse un poco ya que la botella es pequeña y hace que quieras cuidarla como oro. Varias fueron mis sorpresas al probarla, la primera fue que a pesar de poner una pequeña cantidad de producto en mis dedos, rindió para todo mi cabello medio/largo. No es grasoso. No reseca, en realidad es todo lo contrario ya que mi cabello se sentía suave, sedoso y ligero. Pero mi más grande sorpresa fue cuando mi amiga comenzó a usarlo, debo especificar que ella se cortó el cabello porque lo tenía muy maltratado y le había dejado de crecer. A pesar de esto, su cabello siguió sin crecer y aun se sentía maltratado. Después de tres semanas de estar usando ésta crema su cabello se siente más sedoso, ya no esta maltratado y....le ha crecido  Después de meses en que su crecimiento estuvo truncado, de haber usado todo tipo de remedios (hasta shampoo de caballo) su cabello por fin ha crecido un par de centímetros.

I will start by saying I'm officially an Organiz fan, every time I try one of their products I fall even more in love with the brand. This time it was one of my friends who bought the defrizzant cream and she let me try it, after a bath with regular shampoo because I wanted to test how durable it was the smell of cherry cream (which by the way is long, most of the day my hair smelled like cherries), I used only a little because the bottle is small and it makes you want to care for it as if it was gold. Several surprises happened when I tried it, the first was that despite putting a small amount of product on my fingers, it covered all my hair which is medium/long. It is not greasy. Desde el momento en que vi la botella me llamó la atención, pero en el momento en que lo olí me enamoró. Me encantó el dulce e intoxicante aroma tropical, me hizo sentir que estaba en alguna playa durante la mejor época del verano así que por supuesto que lo compré.
Después de probarlo lo que más me gustó fue que dejó mi cabello oliendo a coco TODO EL DÍA (Literalmente parecía loca oliendo mi cabello a cada rato para ver si el aroma seguía ahí). Deja mi cabello más suave y manejable después de cada lavada, así que definitivamente es un shampoo que seguiré comprando. Otro punto a favor es que la botella es bastante grande (de casi un litro) y es ecológica, así que además de obtener buenos resultados para tu cabello estás ayudando al ambiente.

From the moment I saw the bottle it caught my eye, but when I smelled it I fell in love. I loved the sweet and intoxicating tropical scent, made me feel like I was at the beach during the best time of summer so of course I bought it.
After trying it what I liked the most was that it left my hair smelling of coconut ALL DAY (I literally looked like crazy person smelling my hair every few minutes to see if the smell was still there). It leaves my hair more soft and manageable after every wash, so it's definitely a shampoo I'll keep buying. Another plus is that the bottle is pretty big (nearly a liter) and is eco-friendly, so in addition to obtaining good results for your hair you are helping the environment.

Últimamente he leído en varios blogs y publicaciones que hablan maravillas de los productos con aceite de argan. Hay muchas marcas y  productos que lo contienen, este originalmente se usaba en Marruecos (en especial las mujeres berebere) y tiene propiedades nutritivas para el pelo y la piel. 

En México no lo había visto tanto y en una ida a Superama, ví un stand de los productos de Organix, entre ellos una línea de Moroccan Oil y decidí comprar uno de los productos. Mi pelo es bastante rizado y en especial en este clima húmedo se pone incontrolable, diariamente uso crema de pelo para controlar el frizz así que decidí comprar la crema definidora de rizos: Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream from Organix. 

Después de lavar mi pelo con shampoo y acondicionador ,con el pelo húmedo pero no escurriendo,  apliqué una cantidad como de una moneda pequeña y lo dejé secar al natural sin secadora. El resultado me gustó mucho porque no se siente pesado ni grasoso y al mismo tiempo definió los rizos . Definitivamente lo recomiendo y quedé muy satisfecha con los resultados del producto.

Lately I've read in many blogs and publications that they talk wonders about argan oil products. There are many brands and products that contain it, it was originally used in Morocco (especially the berebere women) and it has nutritive properties for the hair and skin. 

In Mexico I haven't seen it that much and one day I went to Superama (a supermarket), I saw a stand of the Organix products and among them a Moroccan Oil line and I decided to buy one of the products. My hairs is pretty curly and especially in a humid climate it gets incontrolable , I daily use hair cream to control the frizz so I decided to buy the hair cream: Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream from Organix. 

After I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner ,with the hair wet but not damp, I applied a nickel size of cream and let it dry naturally without a hair blower. I loved the result because it doesn't feel heavy or greasy and at the same time it defined my curls. 

I definately recomend it and I was very satisfied with the results of the product.
