Aunque técnicamente es verano, parece ser que a alguien se le olvidó avisarle al clima porque unos días llueve, otros hace frío y otros calor. Este post es para quienes van a salir de vacaciones, están pensando pasarla bien en una alberca o simplemente disfrutar de los días cálidos. Although it's tecnically summer, it seems that someone forgot to tell the climate because some days are rainy, some are colda and others warm. This post will be useful if you're going out on vacation, are thinking about chilling by the pool or simply enjoy the warmer days. Tanto la fórmula como el color nos ha encantado durante varios meses. Máximo necesitas dos capas y queda perfecta la fórmula, casi como gel pero sin los problemas de removerlo. El color es súper vibrante y si te has bronceado un poco en estas fechas, éste color ayuda muchísimo a resaltarlo. 

We have been loving for several month both the formula and the color from this nail polish. You need at the most 2 coats and it's perfect, almost like gel but without the troubles of removing it. The color is super vibrating and if you have a tan, this color is perfect for enhancing it.

Es hidratante, tiene un buen precio y aparte tiene protección solar 20 ¿qué más se puede pedir?

This is the lip balm that started it all, after this they have made thousands of versions but we still love this. It has a pink hue that it perfect with a smokey eye or simply if you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup, you can just apply it and you’re ready to go. It’s hydrating, has an amazing price and SPF 20, what else can you ask for?

Este producto es el más opaco de los tres, se aplica como gloss y después de 2 capas lo dejas a que seque y queda el lipstick mate perfecto. No reseca nada, dura por mucho tiempo y el color se desvanece parejo. Éste color es una mezcla de rojo con un toque de naranja que se ve muy bien con un bronceado y lo puedes usar en cualquier clima sin que se caiga de los labios.

Si aún no has podido broncearte o solo deseas acentuar el bronceado te recomendamos este bronzer de Body Shop. La textura es increíble, igual o mejor que algunos de mayor precio, es súper fácil de aplicar, no se queda a parches y tienen una selección de colores para todo tipo de piel. Yo uso de las más oscuras pero los tonos 01 y 02 son perfectos si tu tono de piel es claro.

If you haven't been able to tan or if you just want to accentuate the one you have, we recommend you this bronzer from The Body Shop. The texture is amazing, equally or even better that some high end ones, it's easy to apply, doesn't get streaky and has a wide selection of shades for every skintone. I use one of the darkest ones but the shades 01 and 02 are perfect for the paler skintones.

Primero que nada, ésta crema huele increíble! Huele a cítricos con dulce, no huele precisamente a mojito pero el olor es perfecto para el verano. Aparte del increíble olor de la crema, la textura es totalmente diferente a las cremas convencionales, es como un gel que cuando lo vas aplicando se convierte como agua. Si no te gusta ponerte cremas pesadas durante el verano, tienes que probar esta fórmula. Lo malo es que es edición limitada la fragancia, pero durante todo el año tienen sus fragancias icónicas en esta fórmula. 

First of all, the smell of this lotion is amazing! It smells like citrus and sweets, not precisely like a mojito but it's really a summery one. Besides the amazing smell, the texture is like any other conventional lotion, it's like a gel but as you apply it, it becomes like water. If you hate the heavy sensation of lotions during summer, you have to try this formula. The bad thing is that this fragance is limited edition, but they have all the year their iconic fragances in this formula.

Para productos de skincare, últimamente he tenido una obsesión con Vichy, todo lo que he probado ha sido buenísimo y este producto no es la excepción.  Es un aceite con protección solar, es perfecto si te choca la sensación del protector normal que queda pesado y color blanco. Éste se absorbe muy rápido, hidrata pero no queda pegajoso y no deja ese color blanco que no favorece nada. 

For skincare products, lately I've been obsessing over Vichy, everything I've tried has been amazing and this sunscreen it's not the exception. It's an oil with sun protection, it's perfect if you hate the heavy sticky sensation of regular sunscreen. This absorbs quickly, it's hydrating but neither sticky nor white, which looks really bad.

Por último escogimos una de nuestras fragancias favoritas y vimos que tienen versión en body mist. Esta versión es muy práctica para llevar en el bolso, la maleta y es más sutil que la versión normal. Nos encanta aplicarla constantemente antes de salir o después de arreglarnos. También la puedes encontrar en una versión más pequeña para llevarla en el bolso.

At last we chose one of our favorite fragances on its body mist version. This size is really practical for carrying in your purse, luggage and its more subtil than the normal version. We love to apply it constantly before going out or after the daily beauty routine. You can also find it in a smaller version for your handbag.

Siempre que me corto el cabello recuerdo que me gusta más  el cabello largo. Me gusta lucir un cabello más corto por algunas semanas pero eventualmente siempre me arrepiento de cortármelo.

Every time I cut my hair I remember I like it better when it's longer. I like to wear a shorter look for a couple weeks pero eventually I regret cutting it.

Como les conté hace algunas entradas, leí en algún lugar del Internet que si agregabas complejo B a tu shampoo ayudaba a acelerar el crecimiento del cabello. Así que lo hice...siendo honesta pruebo casi cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con el cabello.

Like I told you a couple posts ago, I read somewhere on the Internet that if you add vitamin b to your shampoo it helps to speed up the growing of your hair. So I did...to be honest I try almost anything that has to do with hair.

El 2 de julio saqué  15 pastillas de complejo B y las molí hasta hacerlas polvo para después agregarlas a mi botella de shampoo (Aquí mi shampoo), y ese mismo día empecé a usarlo. Yo lavo mi cabello de 3 a 4 veces a la semana, mi abuela me ha dicho toda la vida que si lo lavo a diario tendré el cabello horrible o no tendré nada cuando sea vieja - ella tiene un cabello increíble a sus 83 años,  entonces le creo y sigo su ejemplo.  Pero ahora lo importante, no sé si sea el shampoo o el que esté usando toda la línea de la marca de mi shampoo, o si de verdad son las pastillas pero en 28 días el cabello me ha crecido 3cm aproximadamente. 

On July 2nd I took 15 pills of vitamin b and I grinded them until they were dust and then I added them to my shampoo (Here my shampoo), that same day I started to use it. I wash my hair 3 or 4 times per week, my grandma has told me my whole life that if I wash it daily I'll have a horrible hair or no hair at all when I'm older - she has amaizing hair at 83 years old so I believe her and follow her lead. 
But now what's important, I don't know if it's the shampoo or the fact that I'm using the whole line or the pills, but in 28 days my has grown around 3cm.

Otra cosa que he notado es que mi cabello se siente más lleno, antes parecía mas delgado y solía romperse. Ahora tiene mucho más brillo y se siente más fuerte. Como dije, no sé  si sean los productos que estoy usando o las pastillas pero definitivamente seguiré usando todo.

Something else I've noticed is that my hair feels fuller, before it used to be very thin and sometimes it would break. Now it has more shine and it feels stronger. Like I said, I don't know if it's the products I've used or the pills but I'm definitely gonna keep using the combo.

A principios de mayo me teñi el cabello rosa, nunca había tenido tanto cabello de un color fantasía y la verdad era que moría por tenerlo. Creo que todos deberían probarlo alguna vez en la vida. Tener el cabello de uno de los colores del arco iris me dio una seguridad y una sensación de Free spirit que no había sentido antes. Me encantó.  Creo que fue intenso precisamente porque sabía que tendríamos que separarnos en algún momento, y así fue. Recientemente me cambie todo el cabello a castaño. Pero cada día que tuve el cabello rosa fue mágico.  Paso de un rosa intenso que me encantaba a un color rosa/naranja tipo salmón y finalmente a un rosa pastel que me gustaba muchísimo.
At the beginning of May I dyed my hair pink, I've never had so much hair dyed in a fantasy colour and I was dying to have it. I think everyone should try it at least once. Having your hair in one of the colors of the rainbow brought me a self confidence and free spirited feeling that I loves.  I think the reason my path with the pink hair was so intense was because I knew it would end. And it did. I'm a brunette now, but everyday with the pink hair was magical. It went from a bright pink to an orange pink salmon-like to a pastel pink that I really enjoyed.  

Así que ahora les traigo los tips y cuidados que yo tuve con mi cabello para mantener el color y no maltratarlo.
•Cortar las puntas antes de aplicar el color fantasía.
•Lavarlo de 3 a 4 veces a la semana, intercalando un shampoo que cuide el cabello y uno que mantenga el color.
•Usar acondicionador S I E M P R E.
•No estar mucho tiempo bajo el sol.
•Retocar el color cada dos semanas y dejarlo en el cabello por 15 o 20 minutos y después lavar el cabello con agua fría.
•Usar crema para peinar o algo similar, yo usaba una de sedal y a veces el óleo reparador de elvive (el cual merece todo un review que escribiré pronto)
•No tener absolutamente ningún producto en el cabello cuando aplicas el tinte, lavarlo antes con agua para retirar shampoo, acondicionador, cremas para peinar, etc.
So now I bring you some tips and cares that I had with my hair to keep the colour and keep it from damage.
•Cut the tips before applying the fantasy colour.
•Wash it 3 or 4 times a week, with a shampoo that takes care of damage hair and with one that helps to keep the colour.
•Use conditioner A L W A Y S
•Stay away from the sun as much as possible.
•Retouch the colour every two weeks and leave it on for 15 or 20 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
•Use hair creme or something similar, I used one from sedal and a elvive oil that deserves it's own review - coming soon.
•Wash off everything from shampoo to hair creme before applying the colour.

El cabello en color fantasía se ve genial pero necesita muchos cuidados, lo cual eventualmente se vuelve cansado pero es definitivamente una buena experiencia.
Hair on fantasy colour looks fantastic but it needs a lot of care which can become exhausting but it's definitely a good experience.

Por fin el cabello rosa está aquí! // Finally pink hair is here!

A finales de marzo dije que quería pintarme el cabello rosa, pocos creyeron que en verdad lo haría, principalmente porque estaba tardando en hacerlo. Pero yo quise hacer un proceso del cabello rosa, principalmente para no maltratarlo demasiado y hoy finalmente esta aquí. Si es la primera vez que están en el blog aquí está el link donde esto comenzó: Cabello Rosa Próximamente Comencé por usar un shampu morado y después aclarar mi cabello en un estilo ombré decolorandolo y después aplicando un tinte 8.1 los resultados los pueden ver aqui:  De Morena a Rubia en un fin de semana. Mi cabello se veía como en la primera foto, se veia bastante bien, el degrado se veia natural pero no era lo  suficientemente claro como para sostener el tinte rosa, así que seguí usando el shampu morado para tonificar y aclararlo lo mas posible. Sin embargo, el shampu morado no era suficiente. Asi que volvi a decolorar parte de mi cabello en un estilo ombré y aplique un tinte numero 121 lo que llevo a mi cabello a lucir como en la tercera foto.
At the of March I said I wanted to dye my hair pink, very few people actually believed me - mostly because I was taking so long to do it. But I wanted to make of pink hair a process, mostly because I didn't wanted to damage it a lot, and now pink hair is here. It all started with a toner (purple shampoo) and then I dyed my hair in an ombré style with bleach and then a 8.1 hair shade which you can see here: From Brunette To Blonde in a Weekend. My hair looked like it does in the first picture, it actually looked pretty nice and natural but it wasn't light enough for the pink dye to stay in, so I kept using the toner but the toner could only get me sofar. So I bleached my hair once again in an ombré style and this time I applied the 121 hair shade which made my hair look like in the third picture. 

Me encantaba, mis amigas me pedían que se los pintara cuando se enteraban que yo misma lo habia hecho. Creo que tengo talento. Continué usando el shampu morado por dos semanas, las puntas de mi cabello estaban comenzando a volverse ligeramente plateadas lo que me indico que mi cabello estaba listo. Para el cabello rosa utilicé Cotton Candy Pink de Manic Panic mezclado con Magenta de Ion Color Brilliance. Ambos productos son cruelty free y no necesitan que les agregues peróxido ni nada por el estilo. Si acaso quieres un color mas pastel o claro lo que puedes hacer es mezclarlos con acondicionar blanco. El Magenta esta muy pigmentado entonces solo necesitas una mini gota. Estos productos son muy distintos, el Manic Panic esta mas del lado de los liquidos, es casi agua mientras que el Ion Color Brilliance es mas dificil de usar porque no es lo suficientemente liquido asi que mezclarlos me dio la consistencia perfecta. Algo que aprendí al pintarme el cabello de rosa es que el color de la mezcla siempre debe ser mas oscura al color que quieres en realidad ya que en el cabello se vera mas claro.

I loved it, my friends even asked my to do their hair  once they knew I've done it myself. I do believe I have some talent. I kept using the toner 3 times a week for two more weeks, the ends of my hair starting to look a little silver which meant my hair was ready. For the pink hair I used Cotton Candy Pink by Manic Panic and I mixed with Magenta by Ion Color Brilliance. Both products are cruelty free and they don't need a developer or anything else. In case you wan't a more pastel or lighter shade what you can do is mix the dye with white conditioner. Magenta is very pigmented so just a little drop will do. This two products are very different Manic Panic is a little too watery and the Ion Collor Brilliance is a little difficult to use by its own because it's not watery enough so mixing them gave me the perfect consistency. Something I learned with the pink shade is that you need the color in the mix to be a little darker than the color you actually want because it will look lighter in on your hair.

 La sugerencia en las etiquetas es que los dejes en el cabello de 20 a 45 minutos, pero yo había visto en internet que muchas personas decían que lo dejaras lo mas posible, una chica decía que lo había usado 5 horas, así que lo deje en mi cabello por 2 horas y media - mientras veía una película. Cuando lo lavé lo hice con agua mas fría que caliente pero no helada, me fue imposible resistirlo, esperé a que el agua se volviera lo mas clara posible y después apliqué acondicionador, no usé shampu. A la hora de secarlo la sugerencia es que no te seques el cabello con la toalla pero yo lo olvide y a consecuencia mi toalla tiene ahora manchas rosas, no me molestan.
The suggestion on the labels is to leave the dye from 20 to 45 minutes on your hair, but I've read online that people said you should leave it longer, a girl even said she left it for 5hrs, so I left the pink for 2 and a half hours - while I watched a movie. When I washed it I couldn't deal with the cold water so it wasn't too cold but neither too warm, I waited for the water to be clear and then I applied some conditioner, I did not use shampoo. The suggestion is also that you don't dry it with a towel, just to let it air dry or use a hair dryer - I forgot this so now my towel has some pink stains, which I really don't mind.

 

 El rosa de mi cabello es en serio el mas padre que he visto, por alguna razón la cámara no puede capturarlo tal cual es pero lo mas similar es al de esta foto. Me emociona ver el degradado! No me arrepiento de haber tardado un mes y medio en lograrlo ya que mi cabello no esta para nada maltratado, y otra cosa positiva es que me sobro mucho tinte entonces tendré cabello rosa por un tiempo.

The pink in my hair turned out so cool, for some reason the camera can't really get it but it is very similar to the pink in the photo down below. I'm excited to see the fade out!. It took me a month and a half to get here but I don't regret it because my hair doesn't feel damaged at all and other positive thing is that I still have a lot of pink dye so I will have pink hair for a while.

Reí muchísimo cuando vi este productor, la idea de Marc Anthony (el cantante) siendo un hombre tan versatil e involucrado en cada mercado me pareció divertidísima - ya sé que este producto no es de él, pero de todas formas.

Easy Lites es un producto barato y bueno que te ayuda a aclarar tu cabello por niveles, no como los tintes. Consiste en un envase con tapa tipo spray cuyo líquido se activa con el calor. Tu rocías la parte del cabello que quieres aclarar con esta formula y pasas tu plancha sobre él, el cabello se irá aclarando conforme vas pasando la plancha. A más planchadas y más producto cabello más claro.
Easy Lites is a cheap and very good product that helps you brighten your hair as much or as little as you want, not like dyes. Its a bottle with a spray-like-tap which liquid activates with heat. You spray the part of your hair that you want to highlight and then pass a flat iron over the section, your hair will get lighter as you pass the iron. The more you use the product and pass the iron the lighter your hair will get.

 Me gusto porque no tienes que hacer el compromiso que haces con los tintes, no es un solo tono a fuerza. Además de que puedes elegir las zonas que quieres aclarar, ya sean rayos, mechas estilo california u ombré o balayage. El tono que el cabello obtiene se ve muy natural, ese es otro plus. Su formula incluye manzanilla, limón y otros ingredientes naturales que dejan el cabello luciendo sano y sintiéndose así.

No todas podemos pasar todos los días en la playa, pero si podemos tener ese cabello. #1 Starting with the very famous beach hair that is all about perfect waves created at the beach. Not all of  us can spend every day at the beach, but we can achieve this hair. You can find a lot of Beach Hair Sprays in stores, or you can do one yourself. In one of our old posts we brought you a DIY for his hair spray that will make your hair look super beach-y. #2 Últimamente me he vuelto fan del cabello de colores, y estoy a días de volver mi cabello rosa. Por eso nuestra inspiración número dos son los cabellos de colores. Desde los rosas, azules y violetas en tonos pasteles hasta los eléctricos verdes y tonos neones. El cabello de colores tiene esta actitud de "me vale todo" que me encanta y me parece perfecta para el verano.

#3 El estilo ombré o mechas california llegó para quedarse un buen rato, le da una luz y brillo al cabello que me encanta. Es un estilo degradado que le da un toque natural y relajado, perfecto para cualquier época del año aunque yo soy más fan de los tonos oscuros para otoño e invierno. El estilo ombré se ve perfecto en verano ya que está inspirado en el cabello de las chicas surfistas.
#3 Ombré hair is here to stay, it gives light and color to your hair. It goes from dark to light giving different shades to your hair, I think this style looks good all year but I like it better for summer - I'm a fan of dark hair when it gets colder. Ombré hair is great for summer because it is also inspired in surfer girls.

 #4 El balayage es muy similar y confundido con el ombré, a lo que yo entiendo es que en realidad es un solo tono, más caramelo y no tan claro como el ombré que no va en todas las puntas y cuya intención es darle luz al cabello. Me agrada porque es un poco más sutil, entonces si te da miedo un cambio radical como las mechas california a.k.a ombré, puedes irte por este estilo que es más discreto.
#4 Balayage is very similar to ombré and it often gets confused with it, as far as I understand is that balayage is only about one shade, most likely in light brown or caramel, and it's not in all your hair. The intention with balayage is to give your hair a little light. I like it because it's more subtle, so if you're a little scared of going ombré (which is in all your hair) you can go for balayage and make it as subtle as you like.

#5 El cabello sun-kissed me gusta mucho porque es el más natural de todos, como su nombre lo dice tiene como propósito que parezca una aclaramiento natural provocado por el sol, puede ser tan sutil o notorio como quieras y va en tonos caramelo y rubio dándole luz y brillo al cabello.
#5 I like sun-kissed hair because it's the most natural style, as it's name says it it's intended to look like natural highlights caused by the sun. It can be as subtle or obvious as you want, and it looks awesome with caramel and/or blonde shades giving light and shine to your hair.

Pasando de los colores a los estilos: el verano es relajado y época de descanso - y fiesta, por eso en mi lista de inspiraciones están solo las trenzas y los accesorios para el cabello.

From color to styles: summer is relaxing and meant to rest - and party, that's why on my list of inspirations I only added braids and hair accesories.

#6 Hay muchísimos tipos de trenzas, la mayoría  se pueden adaptar para darte un look relajado y boho. Ya no hay pretextos para usarlas ya que youtube esta lleno de tutoriales para lograr desde las mas elegantes hasta las mas sencillas. Personalmente soy fanática de la trenza de 3, también conocida como la de cola de pescado, pero hay muchos tipos y tamaños que puedes usar para completar tu look en el verano.
#6 There are so many types of braids, most of them can adapt to a messy style so you can wear them on a more boho-relax-look. And there's no excuse to use them since youtube and pinterest are full of braid tutorials, you can find the messy and the stylish ones with just a couple clicks. I am personally a fan of the fishtail braid, but there are a lot of types and sizes to help you complete your summer look.

 

#7 Los accesorios en el cabello son algo que normalmente no uso, no sé porqué ya que me resultan muy lindos. Pueden darle un cambio totalmente radical a tu look, por eso este verano me he armado de unos cuantos para por fin usarlos. Algunos son bastante extremos pero se ven muy bien, creo que mucho consiste de para dónde piensas usarlos.
#7 Hair accesories are something I don't usually wear, I don't know why since I find them really cute. They can give a total change to your look, that's why I've gotten myself a few for the summer. Some are pretty radical but they look cuper cool, I think a lot has to do with for what and where you're wearing them.
