Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Today we bring recipes for an at home spa with ingredients you'll find in your own kitchen.

Anti-Acne Apple Cider Toner
½ oz organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar
2 oz water
3 plain uncoated aspirin tablets
Mix the water and vinegar in a glass bottle with a plastic cap; drop in the aspirin, which are a source of anti-acne salicylic acid. Shake the bottle. Once the aspirin tablets dissolve, apply the toner to a cotton ball or pad and then to areas with acne, rough skin, or enlarged pores. Do not use on broken skin—it will sting! Apple cider vinegar contains alpha hydroxyl-acids and, with the salicylic acid in aspirin, exfoliate problem skin naturally. Your complexion will brighten and soften with daily use after washing and prior to moisturizing. If the mixture is still too powerful for your skin, dilute with more water. You can keep it in a refrigerator for a month.
