Más de una vez me ha pasado que mis sombras favoritas, mi rubor o polvo compacto se rompen; muchas veces tuve que tirarlos, hasta ahora que me topé con la solución y la verdad es que es la cosa más sencilla. Lo único que necesitas es: Alcohol 70%, un pedazo de plástico para envolver, un gotero, una espátula, una brocha delgada (aunque yo use un corta-uñas) y un Q-tip. Después de seguir estos 5 pasos parecerá que nada nunca le paso a tus sombras, rubores, etc.
(Yo utilicé un kit que traía tres colores de sombras diferentes.)
1.- ENVUELVE: completamente las sombras con el pedazo de plástico, asegúrate de que esté bien apretado.
2.- DESTRUYE: rompe todo el polvo, no sólo lo que ya estaba roto con la punta de la brocha (yo utilicé el corta-uñas)
3.- AGREGA ALCOHOL: quita el pedazo de plástico ya que este hecho polvo y agrega al menos diez veces el contenido del gotero completo (yo utilicé doce) hasta que se cubra todo.
4.- ALISA: tendrá una textura ligeramente cremosa y entonces puedes alisarlo con la espátula (yo utilicé el corta-uñas)
5.- PERFECCIONA: Utiliza el Q-tip para limpiar los bordes, dale unas horas para que se seque y después será como si nada nunca hubiera pasado!

More than once my favorite eye shadows, blush or compact powder have fell and shattered; many times they ended up in the trash, recently that I found the solution, which is really simple. You only need: 70% alcohol, plastic wrap, spatula ( I used a nail cutter), dropper and a Q-tip. After following these 5 steps it will be as  if nothing ever happened to your eye shadows, blush, compact, etc...
(I used a kit that had three different colors of eyeshadow)
1.- WRAP: completely with the piece of plastic and make sure it's tight.
2.- DESTROY: With your spatula, crush up the entire pan of shadow, not just the broken pieces until it turns to dust.
3.- ADD ALCOHOL: Remove the wrap and add at least 10 droppers full of alcohol until it covers everything. (I used a dozen).
4.-SMOOTH IT OVER: Now you’ll feel the powder has creamy texture giving you the perfect opportunity to even it out smoothly with your spatula.(I used the nail cutter)
5.- PERFECT THE EDGES: use the Q-tip to clean the edges, give it a few hours to dry and then it will be like nothing ever happened!

Esto depende principalmente de cada fórmula y esto es un aproximado. Recuerda que si te empieza a irritar o cambia de olor es importante que lo tires.

Cremas de cara

Usualmente las cremas de cara, en especial las que tienen medicamento, tienen fecha de caducidad. Sin embargo, las cremas cosméticas en general no deben de conservarse más de 6 meses. La acidez de la piel en los dedos puede deteriorar los ingredientes activos y contaminar el producto.

¿Cómo conservar las cremas de cara? Ponlas en el estante del baño donde no estén expuestas al sol. También es buena idea dejarles el papel que las recubren después de abrirlas.

Face creams

Usually, most face creams, especially those containing drugs, carry expiration date. However, cosmeceutical face creams shouldn't be kept, in general, for more than 6 months. The acidity of the skin on your fingers can deteriorate the active ingredients of the product that can be contaminated by bacteria.

How to store face creams? Keep them in your bathroom cabinet It is a good idea to keep the backing paper on, after opening the cream.

Base

Es recomendable que la base líquida se conserve por 6 meses , aunque en la envoltura esté escrito 12 meses, porque las propiedades del producto se pueden alterar fácilmente. El polvo compacto se puede conservar por 8 meses porque es de base aceitosa y junto con los ingredientes secos tienen más resistencia a diferentes factores externos. Conserva la base en un lugar seco, lejos de la luz, especialmente si tiene un empaque transparente.

Foundation

It is advisable that a liquid foundation to be hold for 6 months, even though on the packaging is written “12 months”, as the covering properties are easily and quickly altered. As for the compact foundation, this should be kept for 8 months because its oily and dry ingredients offer much more resistance to different external factors. Store your foundation into a dry place, away from light, especially if it has a transparent packaging.

Rubor compacto

Como las bacterias no se pueden desarrollar donde no hay humedad, la vida útil recomendada para el rubor es aproximadamente de 2 años. Un rubor cremoso se puede dañas más rápido porque como se aplica con las manos se transfieren más bacterias. Así que es apropiado usar una brocha para aplicarlo o una esponja.

Powder blush
As bacteria cannot develop where there is no water, the recommended shelf life for powder and blush is of about 2 years. A creamy blush might degrade quicker as you might transfer germs into the pot when applying it with your fingers. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use a brush or a sponge when applying them.

Create cream blush from cracked face powder

For this quick way to transform old makeup into a new one, use a medium-sized bowl. Pour the cracked face powder into the bowl and add a tiny amount of lip balm to it.
